Good question. In my opinion, Sportsbook.com
poker grew out of the collapse of Paradise
Poker when it was forced to pull from
the USA market in December 2006 / Jan
2007. The death of Paradise Poker, which
was one of the oldest, largest and most
respected online poker rooms on the market
led to the birth of Sportsbook.com Poker,
a major skin on the Cake Poker Network.
The management team (or at least some
of it) from Paradise Poker took the reigns
at this new online poker room and have
quickly grown it in to one of the fastest
growing online poker rooms serving USA
player online. Sportsbook Poker is on
the same network as Cake Poker and they
share in the players.
Sportsbook.com Poker is unique in that
they are only serving USA Players
right now and the only way to deposit
is via Credit Card. Withdrawls are done

time, this is the one thing that I have
heard a few negative complaints about,

One quick way to judge how loose a table
is playing is simply by looking at in
the lobby at the "Pre Flop"
percentages, seeing how many players put
money in the pot pre-flop and see the
flop. It was rare to find a table at Sportsbook
Poker.com that had less than 50% of players
seeing the flop!
That is SUPER LOOSE, and that often means
super juicy!

Multi's start at freerolls up to $50+5.
The no limit cash tables had the most
traffic starting at limits of nickle /
dime (.05 / .10) no limit poker up to
tables with blinds at $10/$20. Another
suprising thing was there were a lot of
players playing at each and every level,
all the way up to the higher stakes like
$10/$20, and the high stakes tables were
loose, too! I couldn't believe it! If
you are a tight and aggressive good player

the poker room also means that if you
are new to online poker or looking for

They offer short handed games with 6 players
as well as the standard 10 person no limit
texas holdem games across most levels.
The short handed action was a must for
me as that is virtually all I play when
playing cash ring games.

Sit and go tournaments were about average
for most part. Nothing too special there.
Standard SNG's that filled up every few
minutes. There was plenty of traffic at
the small to medium stakes. Highest stakes
I saw were the $50 1 table SNGs.

The software is nothing special. I can't
really complain too much about it as the
game play is fairly fast, graphics easy
on the eyes and easy to use... I have
not personally requested a withdrawal
from Sportsbook.com Poker yet but I have
read in a few other forums complaints
that it takes a relatively lengthy amount
of time to receive the check in the mail...
some saying up to a few weeks. The game
table has all the standard buttons so
you can pre-program in your action if
you want, the lobby is easy to navigate
