Poker Stars is one
of the most trusted online poker rooms and
PokerStars.net is their play free site that

The Poker Stars deep stack tournament is just
about as close to the World Series
of Poker Main Event structure that you can
get in a small buy-in poker tournament. (yeah,
we know it is not exactly the same as the
WSOP ME, but it is a whole lot closer than
ALL other online events, and for new players
be sure you check out the PokerStars
Marketing Code for our exclusive bonus.
$10/20 Starting Blinds. $5,000 starting chips,
30 minute levels. Because you're playing online,
you will get roughly twice the hands per hour
than you do live. So, although the WSOP ME
starts w/ $10,000 in chips and longer rounds,
you start with smaller blinds and get more
hands online...
It's closer than most online tournaments that
start with much fewer starting chips and much
faster rounds. Poker
Stars is the only online site
that offers tournaments with such big starting
stacks and structure. Poker

One of the great things about Poker Stars
is that they offer plenty of tournament
variety. Check out the different buy in
amounts in the deep stack tournaments. Even
for a $10 + 1 buyin tournament you can experience
deep stack poker.
Poker tournament variety is paramount at
Poker Stars, and they even have PokerStars.net
offering free poker tournaments and play
for free poker.
Poker Stars.net is a play for free site,
which is just the same as creating a play
money account at PokerStars.com, although
uncle sam says that they can only advertise
the .net versions of their poker sites on
TV... come on give me a break.
Anyway, the deep stack tournaments are excellent
if you are looking for this type of tournament.
They do take a long time to play, obviously
but they are a lot of fun. You can play
all day on $10 bucks if you're patient,
although there is TONS of action early as
people are playing very loosely and crazily.

Want to play in the WSOP? PokerStars sends
more players than anyone. One out of Five
players in the 2005 World Series of Poker
Main Event qualified at Poker Stars. They
have excellent WSOP
Satellites. You can click here and try
to qualify
just like Moneymaker did in 2003.
*editors note - I haven't played in one
of the deep stack tournaments yet, but as
soon as I do I'll write a trip report on
it. If you are a deep stack specalist, we'd
love to hear your comments on how to win
these tournaments and your thoughts about
the deep stack tournaments at Poker Stars.
Thanks and we'll see you at the tables!
