The Skinny: Aced.com
Poker is one of the newest
entrants into the online poker world,
having launched in 2008 with the purchase
of ChanPoker.
As part of the highly-acclaimed Merge
Network, they join other popular poker
sites with whom they share respective
player bases.
With generous bonuses, intuitive software,
and growing player liquidity, Aced has
positioned themselves to compete with,
and possibly overtake, their competitors
in the online poker market.
What's more, by providing a poker platform
for U.S. players, they've boldly stepped
into a gap left by others. USA players
ARE accepted at Aced.com (except Kentucky).

that a lot of players will enjoy.

Aced Poker Software Download
Aced Poker's software is the focal
point of your playing experience. They've
done a superb job of developing an environment
that is both flexible and natural.
The graphics are crisp, giving the
visual presentation an attractive veneer
without calling unnecessary attention
to itself. Meanwhile, the navigation
scheme is simple, yet robust.
Members are given a surprisingly high
level of control in managing a variety
of player settings. When you're in the
software's Lobby (which we'll describe
in the next section), you'll see a button
at the bottom titled, "Settings."
When you click that button, a new window
pops up. You'll see 5 tabs across the
top; each tab provides you with access
to a small menu of options that you
can modify.
Aced Poker allows you to change several
table-related settings, such as turning
on "Auto Post" and "Auto
Muck" options, and enabling chat
and speech bubbles.
You'll also be able to control the
length of time your hand history is
archived, player contact options, and
window preferences.
The Aced Poker Lobby
The Aced lobby is driven by tabs, buttons,
and side panels that are clearly labeled.
This allows new and experienced players
to find their way through the software
easily. Once you launch the software,
you'll enter the Lobby and enjoy a comprehensive,
top-down overview of Aced Poker's entire
network. Download

At the top left of the client window,
you'll notice 2 tabs: "Lobby"
and "Cashier," which can be
used to access those sections at any
time. Below them, you'll notice 3 rows
of tabs. The middle and bottom rows
will change based upon which of the
4 tabs in the top row is active.
For example, selecting the tab
titled "Poker Tables"
in the top row displays 5 tabs
in the middle row: "Texas
Hold'em," "Omaha,"
"Stud," "Draw &
Other," and "Custom."
By contrast, selecting the "Tournaments"
tab in the top row, displays 4
tabs in the middle row: "Scheduled,"
"Sit N Go," "Satellite,"
and "Private." By using
these tabs, you'll be able to
easily navigate to any area within
the Aced Poker network.
Beneath the 3 rows of tabs, you'll
see a list of poker tables that
are constantly updated. You'll
enjoy a bird's eye view of each
table that includes details such
as the game variation, stakes,
number of players, and how many
members are on the table's waiting
list. You'll also have access
to each table's average pot and
the number of hands played. Clicking
once on a table in the list displays
the players and their respective
balances in a panel on the right
side of the client window (still
within the Lobby). Clicking twice
allows you to join or observe
the game.
Once you've double-clicked a table
from the Lobby, a new window will open.
You'll see the entire Aced Poker
table from a top view, along with the
active players, their balances, and
their most recent action (i.e. check,
call, fold, etc.).
You'll also see an updated pot balance
and the amount of each active player's
most recent bet. You can observe the
game, or join by clicking an available
seat.
The bottom left of the poker room
window contains a chat window that doubles
as a synopsis of each action during
the hands. A number of table-related
options can be accessed by clicking
the "Options" tab at the top
of the chat window.
The bottom right of the poker room
window allows you to use settings such
as "Auto Muck," "Auto
Blinds," "Sit Out," (if
you're an active player), and "Rebuy."
The most impressive aspect about
Aced Poker's software is twofold:
the level of information and control
they provide at your fingertips
is daunting, but they've managed
to package it into an easy-to-use
format.
They've developed their software to
support multiple windows, giving you
the flexibility of playing in several
games and tournaments at the same time.
Poker Games at Aced.com
One of the first things you'll notice
is that Aced offers a huge menu
of poker games.
You'll be able to play Texas Holdem,
of course; it's the world's most popular
variation, and no limit, pot limit,
and limit tables are always available.
You can also enjoy Omaha Poker, including
variations such as Omaha High and Omaha
Hi Lo. Aced also offers a wide range
of Stud Poker games, including 5 card,
7 card, 7 card Hi Lo, Horse, and Razz
(all of them are offered in limit and
pot limit games).
For fans of the more obscure poker
variants, Aced provides tables for:
Badugi
5 Card Draw
Triple Draw
These games are less popular than Texas
Holdem and Omaha; occasionally, you'll
need to wait for a sufficient number
of players to join before the games
begin. But, they add to the expansive
list of poker options provided by Aced.
Other Games Offered at Aced
Besides poker, Aced provides their
members with a number of other exciting
games. After logging into your account,
you'll be able to play:
Euchre (a card
game involving tricks)
Caribbean Stud
Backgammon
Popular casino games like blackjack and roulette
several video poker optionsincluding long-time favorites, such
as Jacks or Better, Deuces Wild, and
Joker Poker.
Aced Poker Tournaments
Aced Poker places an emphasis on their
tournaments and provides a range of
options that include freerolls, Bounties,
Sit & Go's, Shootouts, and satellites.
The freerolls, found under the "Scheduled"
tab from the software's Lobby, do
not require a buy-in or entry fee.
As a result, they're very popular.
Bounty tournaments place a "bounty"
on each player's head. If you can
eliminate them from the tournament,
you'll collect the bounty, which basically
gives you another way to make money.
Sit & Go tournaments are always
popular because they're convenient
and fast. They require a set number
of players on a single table before
the games start.
Shootouts are a variation of Sit
& Go's, and include multiple tables.
A winner from each table emerges and
joins a new table. Eventually, the
last 9 players compete for the top
prize.
Aced Poker's Satellite tournaments
are unique in that they feed players
into other high-profile, well-publicized
tournaments. Most poker fans will
never have the chance to play in the
APPT, WSOP, WPT, or Aussie Millions.
Aced provides members with the opportunity
to earn their seat through their performance
in the Satellite tournaments.
Aced Player Competition Level
ChanPoker, purchased by Aced before
its launch earlier this year, attracted
masses of freeroll tournament players.
As a result, the average skill level
of players within Aced Poker's network
is considered low when
compared to other online poker rooms.
That implies 2 important dynamics.
First, if you're a relatively new player,
there's no need to feel intimidated.
You'll be immersed into a network of
poker fans who don't have professional
level skills.
Second, if you're an experienced player,
you'll likely do well in this poker
community.

number of comp points.
Depending upon the task you complete,
you can earn 5 to 50,000 comp points!
Once earned, they can be redeemed as
described above.
Aced VIP Program
Finally, Aced Poker has created an
innovative VIP program. There are 4
levels of VIP status and each delivers
a growing list of benefits. For example,
the "Clubs" level, lowest of the 4,
gives members access to the Refer-A-Friend
bonus, newsletter, and easy entry into
freeroll tournaments. The "Diamonds"
level, highest of the 4, provides members
with a special Concierge Service, phone
support, invitations to special events,
and other perks.
Comp Points, Loyalty, And VIP Aced
has created a number of channels that
encourage members to continue playing.
Players can earn comp points by participating
in tournaments and real money ring games.
The number of points earned depends
largely on the circumstances of each
game and are explained in detail on
the Aced Poker site.
The points can be redeemed for entry
into freeroll tournaments and eligibility
toward sign-up and reload bonuses.
