The
following review of Absolute Poker is
written from a small stakes, amateur
poker player who normally played in
free games at PartyPoker.com but has
now began to try small buy in tournaments
and ring games at other sites like Absolute
Poker.

Playing poker online can be challenging
at times, choosing which venue to play
at and what games to play. At absolutepoker.com
you can play anything from $.02/$.04
no limit hold 'em to 1 on 1 $500 buy
in games of 7 card stud.
The playing level varies from room to
room but it is very easy to find a room
suitable for what you're looking for.
I started playing online poker at partypoker.com
which I enjoy, however the tournament
play at absolutepoker.com is phenominal.
It's straight to the point and has a
great tournement format. I played with
about $15 for around six hours. That
only includes one freeroll tournment.
If you play smart and play as if you
were in a casino, you should fare well.
Absolutepoker.com
allowed me to join into up to seven
tournements at a time but only recomends
a maximum of three tournements at a
time. I simply signed up to one of the
multi-table sit-and-go tourneys while
I waited for people to register, I signed
up for one of the $.40 + $.20 sit and
go single
table tourneys and rolled.
Always remember to stay focused when
playing multiple tables online, and
you can play a handful of tables at
once on Absolute Poker. It is very easy
to get worked up in one showdown on
one table and try to rebudle something
done on the other table. Stay focused!
This was my number one problem being
a new online poker player.
My only real complaint
about absolutepoker.com is the size
of the cards. When I'm playing partypoker.com,
I can usually lean back in this recliner
and enjoy the game in comfort. With
Absolute poker.com it was difficult
to see the cards if too far from the
screen.
It seems that the size of the numbering
on the cards may be a font size smaller
then at partypoker.com. I dont know
if this would be deciding or important
factor to you in your poker play but
it is important to me.
Online poker became popular because
it was an easy way to play in the comfort
of you own home without running home
games. So I feel that you should be
as comfortable as possible as long as
you can stay focused in the game.
Many people also want to know about
Absolute Poker's traffic at
the tables. For a Friday afternoon
I had no problem finding a good game
to get into. The Sit and Go's take a
little bit of time to build up. I might
have waited a total of 8 minutes at
the most at a single table tourney and
tops 20 minutes for a multi-table tourney.
High stakes tables were full and low
stakes games were busy as well.
Overall, the traffic and skill level
was very comfortable.
One last thing I'd like to add about
absolutepoker.com is the low-stakes
games have a feature called turbo
games. They automatically post
blinds and the time to make decisions
is sped up. This keeps a great fast
pace for learners of the game. It allows
you to maximize games in a minimal time
frame.
Turbo Games are great for us recreational
/ amateur online poker players.
All in all, there are many poker sites
available to online poker players. In
my opinion, the turbo games and the
tournements at absolutepoker.com makes
for a great introduction to the wide
open world of online gambling.
It allows you to create a learning curve
while not being too expensive in the
same.
With a first time deposit match of 100%
up to $750, absolutepoker.com definately
draws new online poker players to the
scene.
