NICKY
WINS ATLANTA POKER CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP BRACELET

Q & A with Nicky Nichols, Atlanta
Poker Club 2005 Champion
Q: Do you have a tournament strategy that
you would be willing to share
with other APC members?
Try not to take on the chip leader
unless you ABSOLUTELY have him/her beat.
Q: What does it take to make it
to the final table of a typical APC
event?
Luck, cards and patience.
Q: If you had to describe your
style of play in 10 words or less, what
would you say?
Agressive; you will pay to try to hit your
draws.
Q: What are the common mistakes
you see other players making in the
tournament? Quit playing just your
cards, play the players and the hand they
are saying they have with their bets.
Q: How much has your game improved
since you began playing with the APC?
I'd say alot, since I had never played hold-em
until my first apc event.
Q: When you make it to the final
table, what other players do you give
the most respect to when they are sitting
there with you?
John, Tria, and Dragon
Q: Do you have a 'Favorite Hand'?
Pocket aces.
Q: Do you have any words of wisdom
for other APC'ers?
Watch every game you can, live or on tv.
You learn something every time.
Any comments, suggestions or thoughts
you want to share? Feel
free!
I think we could stop alot of arguments
and pissed off people if players were required
to show their hands in order of betting,
just like every other poker game.
Thanks Nicky, and again congratulations!
