It
was a great week of poker last week
for the Atlanta Poker Club! The level
of competition is continiously on the
rise and if you're not improving your
game you're simply going to get left
behind as the race for the points is
reaching it's peak. Players are switching
gears, changing up their games and making
smarter plays at every tourney. Hat's
off to all the top finishers at last
weeks events, it was some of the best
poker we've seen in a long time! Even
some of our longest time members, the
'old guard' made a nice showing, and
you can read more about it in the Forum.
We had our 2nd FullTilt
Poker Freeroll this past
Sunday and if you guys missed it you've
got to join us this coming Sunday! It
was a blast! Congrats to Bearw8 (an
old time APC'er) for taking 1st place
over yours truly. Grube made a very
respectable title defense by finishing
3rd in a hard fought match.
APC Ladies
Night Challenge - coming
soon... a womens only tournament to
crown the Queen of the APC!
We'll have the Results of the $50
Challenge laid down at the
Nickel and The office by next weeks
shuffle! Thanks to everyone who came
out to play and Thank you for supporting
the APC at some of our smaller venues!
We appreciate it!

**The Points
Race is HOT! These next
few weeks will be where we seperate
the men from the boys (and the women
from the boys too!) and thecream of
the crop players will rise to the top!
Now is the time to finish strong and
be in position for a great end of season
run to claim your place in APC History!
The FullTilt Private APC Tourneys
are so much fun, if you're
an APC member and you're not playing
then you are missing out on one of the
most fun and enjoyable online experiences.
Here are instructions on signing
up at FullTilt.
I guess it is the Monkey Avatars on
FullTilt because for the past two weeks
a Monkey has taken home first place.
This week, the APC's very own Barry
showed his poker skill by beating
yours truly for the 1st place finish.
Grube defended his title well,
but couldn't overcome the huge chip
lead of Bearw8 and fell victim to a
superior hand to finish 3rd in his title
defense. The Short-Stack
award goes out to 1964Mustang
for playing a fabulous short stack.
Coming to the final table with only
100 chips this crafty veteran was able
to outlast all but the toughest of opponents
taking home 4th place and just one outside
of the money. Nicely done Linders!
APC Players are invited to join us this
Sunday at FullTilt! Sign up now and
play! (FullTilt
instructions here)

Online Poker
As
most of you guys know I'm a pretty big fan
of online poker. I've been playing online
for over 2 years and have consistently won
at lower stakes online poker. I'm going to
start giving a report of my weekly win or
loss rate. We'll see how I do between now
and the Vegas Trip as I plan on taking a large
portion of my bankroll with me to play at
the live tables.
My Favorite Site:
Bodog

Where I'm playing right now: Noble
Poker Review
*new
My second favorite site:
FullTilt Read
the Review
Before I get into this weeks online
poker adventures, I just wanted to say that
I had 2 different people personally thank
me for recommending Bodog
Poker to them! Like I said, Bodog's
players SUCK and the Multi-Table Tournaments
are the absolute best value on the market
today. So many guaranteed money tourneys with
so few players! I'm glad you guys
are enjoying Bodog Poker!
I had an overall down week playing online
poker last week. I guess I was due
for a loosing session and overall I limited
my losses, but I got smoked playing some shorthanded
3/6 limit at Noble
Poker. So much so that I withdrew my entire
bankroll there (I was planning on doing this
anyway for the trip to Vegas. I'm a bit dissapointed
I had to do that, as I've probably only released
$250 of my deposit bonus there so far, but
I withdrew there up just over $430 bucks overall,
even though I was up nearly $600 before last
week.
I guess I should switch gears and just play
some SNG's or maybe a few 2 table tournaments
at FullTilt. The ring games are being brutal
to me. Played and lost nearly every time I
sat down at the lower stakes Limit Games...
partly because I tried to play typical 'tight/aggressive'
poker while multi-tasking but the big hands
that I did get always seemed to end up 2nd
best.
I did get a little redemption
in our FullTilt Freeroll, finishing 2nd and
gaining a little confidence in my play, as
I played well, made good decisions and few
mistakes. I admit it, I love playing poker
at FullTilt!
FullTilt has some multi-table tourneys called
"Bracelet Races"
These are $24+2 buyins with around 100-150
people and the with the winner gets a $2000
package to go play in one of the smaller events
at the WSOP, and if enough players sign up
the top 2 players get the $2000 package.
I'm going to try and win my way in to event
#2 even though I've built my online bankroll
high enough where I can just buy straight
in if I need to. They also have a very cool
promo called 'Pieces of the Pro's"
tourneys where everyone who gets to the final
table wins a % of a pro in the WSOP. I'd like
to win 10% of Phil Ivey... first place will
be around 7-8 Million most likely, that's
700k if he wins 1st. Schweet.
The Unique Online Poker Bonuses offered to
APC'ers are:
Noble
Poker $500 bonus 100% match.
Their standard offer is $300 bucks, but if
you click through our link you'll get to take
advantage of our special offer of an additional
$200. It's a good site with a fair # of APC'ers
playing there already.
Bodog
is giving away 1 seat for everyday in May
to the WSOP. Saturdays event only
had 32 players with the 1st place
finisher getting a WSOP Main Event Seat! I
wish I hadn't of missed it! Plus Bodog is
still the best for Overlay Tourneys. Check
out Bodog's
tournament schedule and
just look for the tournaments that have a
Guaranteed Prize Pool...
these nearly always have overlay! they've
got eight guaranteed tourneys.
Click
here to sign up at Bodog.
Current
Roll...
Last weeks results:
-190 Total hours played
= +/- 5 Current
Bankroll = 1797.00
Alltime high
= 1987.00 Alltime
low = 45 - after initial
buyin of 50 - 2 years ago

the end of May = $2200.
