3rd. This is a bracelent event and there will
most likely be some satellite tournaments
running for very reasonable buy-in amounts.

Online Poker
 As
most of you guys know I'm a pretty big fan
of online poker. I've been playing online
for over 2 years and have consistently won
at lower stakes online poker. I'm going to
start giving a report of my weekly win or
loss rate. We'll see how I do between now
and the Vegas Trip as I plan on taking a large
portion of my bankroll with me to play at
the live tables.
Hey Dan, how'd you
do in that Bodog
Poker $1500 Guaranteed Tourney?
It was funny, on Sunday I sat down to play
in a $1500 guaranteed event at Bodog... They
buyin was $15 bucks and they were guaranteeing
$1500 in the Prize Pool regardless of how
many people signed up to play.
With 7 minutes left of registration there
were like 40 people signed up... HUGE OVERLAY
and these are the types of tourneys that I
seek out... The tournament ended starting
with 72 people. 72 x $15 = $1080.
Bodog put up an additional $420 of
Dead Money - come and get it! Bodog
has these tournaments every day and if you
aren't playing there then you are missing
out. There is no reason to play non-guaranteed
tourneys, with overlays like this it is tough
to pass up.
ANYWAY - back to my Story. I sit down at this
tournament with 72 others and it is about
to start and I see "Spry?" come
through on the Chat line...
"Yeah, who's that?" Low and behold
its my old buddy Dan! Dan is a Bodog Regular
and just happened to get seated one seat away
from me at the same table on the same tourney.
Small World aint it Dan? How'd you do?
I got knocked out in short order. Lost with
the NUT FLUSH vs a BOAT and then ALL-IN with
pocket 8's to get dominated by pocket 9's.
It happens. It was fun anyway. Hopefully Dan
did a bit better but it just wasn't my day.
Shortly there after i got owned in a 1 table
satellite that would have qualified me for
the $100k guaranteed at Bodog on Sundays.
Bodog did extend their 20% Deposit Bonus for
us! The best part is, the bonus money
is there as soon as you make your first deposit,
no raked hands, just deposit and poof, free
money!

Qualifying tournament every day for

The poker software is great.
I had been having a very bad week playing
online poker until Sunday. I earned
a seat into a $10k guaranteed FreeRoll at
Empire
Poker and figured what the hell,
I'll give it a run. There was 1052 players
signed up, so It was a long shot to say the
least.
Long story short, I ended
up taking 5th place out of 1052 players! Winning
$500 bucks!
I have to give huge thanks to Fuller who filled
in for me for about an hour and a half while
I grilled out burgers and dogs for the family!
Fuller managed to Triple Up and keep me in
the Hunt while I manned the Grill and cooked
the kilbasa. Nice Job Fuller!
Truth be told, finishing 5th hurt more than
busting out early... I was SO close to first
place that I could taste it (not to mention
the $2100 1st place prize!). I guess I shouldn't
complain, it was great experience and hey,
it was a freeroll afterall. FreeRolls are
good.
