Online Poker
As
most of you guys know I'm a pretty big fan
of online poker. I've been playing online
for over 2 years and have consistently won
at lower stakes online poker. I'm going to
start giving a report of my weekly win or
loss rate. We'll see how I do between now
and the Vegas Trip as I plan on taking a large
portion of my bankroll with me to play at
the live tables.
I really am enjoying
playing at Bodog
Poker Room . *bodog
offered us a 20% deposit bonus and 20% reload
bonus from now until April 5th! This is DOUBLE
their normal signup bonus.
Take advantage and join the largest online
sportsbook and a rapidly growing poker room!
This week I played 3 different $20
buyin Sit-N-Go tournaments at Bodog.
If you're not familiar with the a Sig-N-Go,
it is a 10 person tournament. Everyone buys
in at a set amount (ranges from $5+.50 to
big stakes like $1000+100... ) and you get
1000 chips. Blinds go up in normal incrementsand
the Top three people are in the money. I stopped
playing these types of tournaments at Party
Poker and started playing at bodog. Very glad
that I did as the structure of the tournament
is much better.
If you enjoy playing these types of tournaments
then it is important to find the right place
online to play. Now when I first started,
I played a lot of these over at PartyPoker.
I did fairly well, but i'I've found that there
are better places to play than at the Party.
I still play limit ring game at Party as the
table
selection is just so huge.
I like Bodog more than Party Poker if I'm
going to play a Sit-N-Go tournaments. Bodog
has much better structure:
1. Party Poker starting Chips = 800. Bodog
Poker starting Chips = 1000
2. Weaker competition at Bodog.
I only had time to try three of these SNG's
last week and I'm in the money 2 for 3. I
busted out early in one of my tournaments
but I actually took first on the other 2 for
an overall solid profit. 1st place takes 50%
of the prize pool, and I'm playing at the
$20 level. Every 1st place win is a profit
of $78 (1st place = $100 - the entry fee of
$22). So i'm positive $134 in the SNG's this
past week. Not bad.
I haven't had a chance to play much other
online poker other than our forum
freeroll over at Gaming
Club. It was a blast,
even though the tourney took a pause somewhere
after the first 15 minutes that nearly caused
a total derailment. You can read
the action in the forum here. It was a
lot of fun. We'd love to see 40 people for
our next freeroll! Playing Online
Poker with pepople you know is totally different
than playing with strangers. We had
a lot of fun!
Bodog has a World Series of Poker
Qualifying tournament every day for
only $33 bucks. For every 9 players, 1 advances
into a Semi-Qualifier tournament that will
be sending 1 player out of 50 to the WSOP
(including buying/hotel). Click
here to sign up at Bodog.
Right now we've got around 10 APC members
playing at Bodog, we'd love to have a large
APC group playing there and get some special
deals for everyone. Bodog is a huge
online sportsbook - trusted and reputable.
The poker software is great.
Current
