APC VEGAS
TRIP -
June 1st - June 4th - Las Vegas, NV 2005
WSOP!
Does anyone know
a good Travel Agent ??? If you want to go
click
here and let us know.
We're going... who else
is in?
If you are interested in going to Vegas
around June 3rd for the World Series of
Poker then let us know! We are planning
a trip out there to take advantage of one
of the smaller buy in tournaments, the $1500
NL Event on June 3rd. This is a bracelent
event and there will most likely be some
satellite tournaments running for very reasonable
buy-in amounts. Post
in the Forum if you are interested in
going.
Let's talk
online poker!
As most of you guys
know I'm a pretty big fan of online poker.
I've been playing online for over 2 years
and have consistently won at lower stakes
online poker. I'm going to start giving
a report of my weekly win or loss rate.
We'll see how I do between now and the Vegas
Trip as I plan on taking a large portion
of my bankroll with me to play at the live
tables.
In last weeks
shuffle I talked about playing in a Step
Tournament. Well, I've taken
a break from the step tourneys and focused
on my limit ring play. Those of you
who have talked to me know that I pretty
much play limit ring games online and NL
tourneys.
The reason for this is Two-Fold.
1. Tthe limit ring games at party
poker are easy to beat consistently,
and winning sessions are normally around
$150-$200 and my loosing sessions I normally
cut to $75 max.
2. No-Limit I prefer tournaments because
anyone can go broke in a tournament. In
No-Limit cash games the only ceiling is
your bankroll. Some opponents have no fear
of going broke and call anything because
they are a millionaire and play for the
thrill of it. At least with limit the most
you lose is the size of the bets when someone
gets lucky and draws out on you, with NL
you can lose your entire stack.
Now some of the other avid online players
strongly disagree with me and love the NL
Ring Games as they are extremely juicy.
I know of a couple of our players that consistently
win at the 1/2 NL and 2/4NL (cough apwine
and shatstain... you guys up for posting
a weekly record along with mine? Anyone
else interested?)
Last weeks results: $-48
Total hours played = +-6
Current Bankroll = $891.00
Alltime high ($1108)
Alltime low ($45 - initial buyin of $50
Goal by the end of March - Bankroll = $1200.

FullTilt is also running a WSOP 2005

I've played at FullTilt, it's cool. The
software is very user friendly and the playing
environment reminds me of pokerstars.
You can give your characters different facial
expressions by clicking a button during
play. Happy/Sad/Confused/Angry etc... It
ads a new element to online play.
It's cool you can actually find pros playing
there and they'll even play lower stakes
tournaments.
So, if you're looking for a new type of
Poker Room, then give Full
Tilt Poker a chance. Use bonus code
KickAssPoker when you sign up and they'll
match your deposit up to $600 bucks. Very
schweet.
