APC News
Last week our most popular tournaments,
the Jeffreys events, both grew to
5 tables each. Thanks to all of
our members and to the management at Jeffreys
for making this happen. We have no major
changes to mention this week as our tournament
structure seems to have found its happy
place with a proper balance between players,
alternates and tournament directors. We
appreciate everyones input, we continually
strive to improve our processes and the
quality of our tournaments.
We’ve got anew location to mention.
The
Office Sports bar and Grill will start
having APC tournaments starting Monday August
2nd. The Office is located in Norcross and
will start out with a 2 table tournament.
If our crowds are any indication they will
quickly grow to a 3 table tournament. Hope
to see everyone out there for a little No-Limit
Texas Hold ‘Em!
The Wooden Nickel is turning
into an excellent Tournament location. We
appreciate everyone who comes out to play
on Sunday Evenings at the Nickel!
You guys thought I was joking about Bogeys
going with Team Poker, but that looks like
exactly what has happened. Honestly, we
are as shocked as you. After our last event,
the manager of Bogeys was like “Hell
of a tournament you guys put on! I’m
very impressed!” I get an email from
his newsletter the other day announcing
his new schedule and I see that they have
two new tournaments scheduled. This is news
to me and a little digging uncovers the
ugly truth… it is team poker. Have
fun with that. As one APC regular put it,
“Playing a team poker event is like
playing in a morgue.” Sorry Bogeys
regulars, we enjoyed our tournaments there
and wish you guys the best of luck.
