UGA Freshman Wins European Poker Tournament
AJC - A 19-year-old freshman from the University of Georgia has won the European Poker Tour's Grand Final Saturday. Jeff Williams, of Dunwoody, had entered the day as the only American remaining in the tournament. According to the PokerStars-dot-com website, the teenager took home a roughly one-million-dollar grand prize shortly before 5 p-m eastern time in the Monte Carlo, Monaco tournament.

Haley - This post would start off with a "FLASH!! STOP THE PRESSES!!" --- except the news ain’t quite that new. If you monitor poker news on the web with any frequency, then you already know that two hot-‘n’-risin’ Internet poker wunderkinds have crashed and burned in separate (but related) incidents the past two weeks. Both incidents began on Party Poker, then spread to PokerStars and other sites, and in both cases, evidence of simultaneous play under multiple accounts was uncovered. Both players had their accounts frozen, funds seized, and were banned from Party and other sites.

Million Dollar Home Page Draws A Crowd
Fuller - Like most 21 year old college students, Alex Tew, needed some money. But unlike most students, Alex decided not to pursue students loans and instead wanted to come up with an idea to make himself a million dollars.

Australian Joe Hachem Wins 2005 World Series of Poker
Spry - Joe Hachem defeated a record field of 5618 Players in the 2005 World Series of Poker and took home $7.5 Million 1st place prize. Joe is a native of Lebanon but moved his family to Melbourne Australia in 1972, where he still lives today. Joe won the largest poker tournament in the history of poker and once ESPN airs the final event of the World Series of Poker he looks to become one of the most well known poker players on the planet.
