in the tournament and where you finish in
the tournament.
The forumla for determining the total points
is
TP = N^(1/2)*200
TP = Total Points awarded for the event.
N = Number of players

In addition to the end of season prizes, each
venue will have prizes for the individual
points leaders at the end of the 10 weeks
points race! So get those points because they
are going to be very important this time...
this is a short season, so get those points
now!
Season starts on May 22nd, final week
July 24th.
The week of May 22nd starts the new season
- it runs through the week of July 24th. The
combined championship tournament will be held
2 weeks later on a neutral as possible date
and venue.
We hope everyone
enjoys this switch
to a shorter and more competitive style season
and combined championship. The Atlanta Poker
Club will still hold at least two additional
major tournaments per year where we award
major prizes and on the year ending tournament,
an Atlanta Poker Club Championship Bracelet.
The new and easier to follow and more competitive
league structure, combined with the new dynamic
points system will lead to a more laser accurate
testing of skill, higher levels of competition,
shorter league seasons and an overall more
enjoyable experience.
Host venues will no longer hold individual
invitational only championship events, although
prizes will still be awarded to end of season
points winners at each venue that participates.
To discuss any of these changes, or to voice
your opinion - please feel free to join us
in the forum.
Thanks, and we'll see you at the tables!
