It's covered in TDA.
Please note that the hand is not dead in this situation. If a player exposes their hand with action pending (including their own action) they may incur a penalty but the hand will remain live.

They see the cards of players sitting across from you, go into their cell phone and text you what cards they are holding.
There is a TDA Rule, #15. It states a player may not use any communication devices at the table, and specifies text messages.

Thank you, Jimmy. I was waiting for you to see the thread and respond.

I move that we include texting in the APC Rules - same as the phone rule. If you are in a hand and you are texting, your hand is dead.

I thought it was included all along. I have folded text message senders hands for a while. No one ever really complained.

Technically, it has already been included in the APC rules. Please see the following post which explains this, the exact rule, as well as provides some suggestions to consider before making a hard and fast rule on stringently enforcing these rules.

It is included in the APC rules, A matter of fact the reason the phone rule was set into place for the APC was because of people texting. It actually had nothing to do with actually talking on the phone to begin with.

This violates rule #27..if a player isn't at the table in time to take his turn, then the dealer must muck his cards.

In this case, the dealer isn't mucking the cards and allowing players to bet while they are not at the table.

If a player has to leave the table because they need to use the restroom, that is unfortunate and their cards must be folded.

This creates an unfair advantage to people who are already at the table and has created some unnecessary yelling and screaming as well as potential fights.

I enjoy playing in the APC and yes I play to win, but no matter where I finish, I want it to be because I was beat fairly.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome to this thread.

Jim
how are they able to bet while not at the table? I dont understand...
