Unhappy What's up with FT deposits - anyone else have trouble?

Hey guys, I really need some advice. First let me say thank you for any help at all. I have been at this for weeks now. FT has made me more than nuts but I still really want to use FT because I am very familiar with the interface, I like that it is supposedly reliable being one of the biggest and I like the quantity of players, etc.

After a week of trying to use gift2go cards, to no avail. I finally tried my BA debit visa (despite being told by numerous sources that it would not work) and low and behold, it worked! I was delighted. But when I went to make a second deposit a week later, it is repeatedly declined, despite ten + times the amount of deposit being immediately available.

I spoke with FT after they finally gave me a phone number for deposit questions. They said it was my middle initial on the card, but no place to enter an initial on the FT data entry pages. But they fixed it for me and said that would do it. Uhm, nope.

So then I thought I would try an alternate deposit method. They have no other methods but one (ULTRA or something like that - phone cards) and it has no instructions of any kind on the FT site. There is no information about using it to deposit or withdraw, no denomination choices listed, no service fees listed. When you go to the link of the actual application site, there are no fees listed there either. You literally have to buy it sight unseen and hope you buy the correct denomination so that whenever their fees are deducted you can meet FT's minimum. The whole thing looks totally shady. None of the other options are available to US customers except one requiring a $250 min.

I am beyond frustrated. I have been through about 8 emails with FT and each time they make a suggestion saying they had it straightened out, it doesn't work. I really feel like I have been caught in something like a "bait and switch."

I have played 2 APC FT tournies, and enjoyed them thoroughly; but unless something changes, I will not be able to play again.

I have no idea what to do now. I am even more than willing to open a seperate checking account (something I had planned to do all along). But after all this, I don't know who to trust for info on compatible banks. I can just see me going to all the trouble of opening the account only to find that I have no options there either. This is the pits.

Can anyone actually give me the facts, or has anyone else had these experiences or figured out what's going on at FT?

Thanks again,

After the Visa gift2go cards stopped working, I was able to use my BA debit card and it still works for me. There are still some pre-paid Visa cards that work, maybe someone will jump on here and let you know exactly which one to buy.

epassporte is no more... it really is a f'ing mess right now. Ridiculous as adults that we can't decide what to do with our own money isn't it?

I'm sorry Ranndom Fire... i will update you if I find a better solution.

Thanks! Ideally I guess I want to figure which bank visa works. I want to open a seperate checking account to handle gaming. But I am afraid I could play hit and miss for weeks before I found one that works. Thanks again...

One of the people I know that deposits on FT uses a GreenDot pre-paid Visa.
