The best/easiest way is def. using your debit card. It's easy and instant. Esp. On FT. Pokerstars declines alot of debit cards but FT seems to be pretty much flawless.

Carbon Poker also has easy deposit options as well, and is a great site.

Debit cards may work, but try a credit card first - it will likely be declined, but you have more protections using a cc rather than dc - also, unless you are sure of the security like with FT, Stars, UB etc... I wouldn't be putting access to my entire checking account balance on the web. With a credit card, if someone some how gets the number, you aren't liable - with a debit card, you are up to at least $500 and your entire balance could be wiped out You'd enventually get it back, but it could take days or longer.

A secure and old fashioned way is to mail/FedEx/UPS a cashiers check directly to the site - it will take a few days but its secure and no risk to your account balance.

I'd recommend setting up a dedicated account for online poker. Keep that $ separate from your other money completely and then try all deposit options per site and find what works best. It helps with bank roll management and keeps things easy for tax purposes when you make that million or more.

I have been lucky that I have used a debit card for 3+ years and never had a problem. I know a lot of people don't feel comfortable with this, and looking back, I can't say I blame you. I think one idea that was mentioned is, if you are wanting to try and be a winning player anyway, why not go put a couple of hundred in a special acct. and use it just for poker deposits and withdrawels. If you happen to win a big tourney or so, then you can always transfer from that acct. to your main acct. But this way, if something ever did happen, then your financial life won't be affected by it.

Aimee, depends on which room... I know Sportsbook.com takes virtually all credit cards (visa / mastercard) and I know that the other sites _sometimes_ take CC's but it really is room dependent.

Where did you want to play? If it is the FT game let me know and I can help you out.
