Imagine my surprise when I checked the news forum tonight at poker conduct and found this post.

Here's a guy who is a member of Pokerconduct a site that some here have said is a place for loonies, losers, and people who don't understand the game. he just placed 5th at the World poker Open.

I haven't posted in a while, but this is important, as you guys know I'm a cash game professional, well I just made the final table at the world poker open in tunica, I normally don't play tournies but hopped in a 1000 satellite and won a seat, I was 3rd in chips after 2nd and 3rd day, final tabs was me(gabe) freddy deeb, hoyt corkins, men master, and couple of unknowns, well this is the kicker, a couple of online sites offered me money to wear logo, sum of money that was large for me, but I turned them down, I was the player of the 6 that did. That proves how strong my feelings are about online poker corruption, I wouldn't sell out, I also told them why, ive always been known as one of the top cash professionals in the south, but now more people will take notice of what I stand for, I only played 6 tournies and have 1st, 5th, and 9th place finished in fairly large fields, but i also murder the side games at these events, but I'm obviously the worst online player in the world, anyway this should be a big win for us, helping get the word out, I will be on tv soon, don't sell out guys, keep fighting this corruption, gabe

Did you get that, he has so much integrity he turned down money rather then wear the logo's of any of these corrupt sites. This next post was in response to my asking him whether I could post his comments here.

sure dan, I hope you do, the problem with arguing with some of these guys is that they actually believe the sites are legitimate, most of them are newer to the networks and just haven't played long enough to understand because there accounts are still running good from the original honeymoon period, they don't realize if they played everyday and were winning they would be targeted with a handicap, my account always runs good if I dont play it for a period of time so most recreational part time players never recieve the full extent of the handicap and others just dont have an understanding of poker math , odds of certain pokeroutcomes.

Ive also had the chance to talk to several pros about their sponsorships and most of them will admit they cant win online and agree something is funny about the sites but they take the money anyway, others are kind of quite about it and I can tell that they really dont like talking about it, maybe their concience.

Yea, i went out 5th, As you know, most of the play is in the first couple of days while the stack vs blind size still allows a lot of post flop play where a good player gets the advantage, the final table is mostly preflop play & allows for more luck, I was happy with 5th, but had hoped for better starting with 1.2 million right behind the chip leader deeb.

Anyway if you get a chance you can watch the interview with hoyt & kimberly lansing, He has 2 interviews with her, I believe its the first one where he talks about me. I have played cash games with hoyt in biloxi & las vegas, so you can take what he says about my play. Hoyt is one of the nicest & classiest pros i have played with. TJ cloutier is also a class act.

Anyway for any of the other people at espn who know that what exists online to day is rigged. This post is for you. We finally have a pro with guts and integrity on our side, and his name is Gabe costner.;-D

WTF? Online poker is rigged? A great player can't win online?? Huh?

Well, no wonder I can't win online. Gosh, I am glad to know it wasn't just me.

How do we let the online rooms know we are terrible players so we can win? Donk off in Snowman's freerolls for a few months?

Hell, to come away a winner, I'll lie and tell them that I have no clue. Or, could it be that online rooms are rigged against a few bad players and I just happen to be one of them?
