Default Rakeback

Rakeback is also known as Rake Rebate, rake return etc. Simply speaking, rake back means that you will receive a percentage of the rake you pay to the poker operator back to yourself.

What does anyone know about Rakeback?

Quite a few poker sites have (or had) rakeback promos for a while. PokerStars had one that I liked, but don't remember the exact details of it (might have been 1% or something paid back to you at the end of the year - they track the total # of hands you played and pay you a % based on that).

It's kind of like the credit cards' reward programs that you accrue throughout the year and then you get a check at the end of the year. I don't know how the poker sites pay you your rewards - I guess they deposit it into your online account.

Yes, I suppose that may be a type.

I am talking about the percentages paid back to you in cash from a 3rd party Rakeback site. These percentages range from 25% to 30% which adds up over time. Pokerstars and Fulltilt now use FPPs (Frequent Player Points) and to my knowledge they don't allow rakeback to existing customers. Only new ones. Which is stupid.

Does anyone use these sites or know more about them?

Most of those sites are crap, And the ones that are worth your time arent worth it unless you are playing ATLEAST 1/2$NL or 4/8$Limit

pokerstars has never allowed rakeback, clint is talking out of his ass.

unless you are a high volume player, it's more or less a waste of time to do rakeback... get a good deposit bonus and work it off.

I don't know about ever, but PokerStars doesn't allow rakeback from a 3rd party now.

I use a rakeback site for bodog. Spry is right though, it's not worth it if you're not a high volume cash game player (I'm not, that's how I know it's not worth it...)

Spry, this was way back in the day. I don't know anything about their rakeback policy now, if it exists at all.

btw, i know this because i've been an affiliate for them for years, and one of the major things that affiliates have wanted was a MGR share instead of a CPA (one time fee) for referring players... stars policy, always, has never to do an mgr share with their affiliates and have 100% never allowed rakeback.
