Waiting for someone to hit it. The bad beat jackpot on sites like Aced Poker (reviews) and Carbon Poker, has reached the $1,000,000 mark (or just about a million, $970k or close to it). you can qualify in as low as .50/1 limit holdem.

Bad Beat Jackpot requirements:

* The losing hand must be at least a Four of a Kind 7s, with a 2 kicker
* The winning hand must be at least a Four of a Kind 8s, with a 2 kicker
* Both the winning and losing hands must include both hole cards to make Four of a Kind
* AT least four players must be dealt in at the start of the hand
* The hand must have generated jackpot rake (ie. $0.50)
* Only two players can be active at the end of the hand, and it must go to showdown.

APC'er Kasey "DawgFan05" just hit the bad beat jackpot online at UB for around $30k a couple weeks ago and Mr T Vue hit the live bad beat jackpot in Biloxi for a nice payday as well. And if the way Tunica treated me, bad beats will be a coming my way. I may have to fire up my old carbon poker account or make a deposit at Aced at least until this thing is hit.

hmm, whats up with the final criteria there... only two players can be active at the end of the hand, and it must go to showdown.

I get the must go to showdown part but what if three players are all in on a big flop and it goes to showdown... does the jackpot just not happen? will investigate.
