Tell John McCain to Reject Republican Party Goal to Prohibit Online Poker

This week, the Republican Platform Committee included language in the party platform (a document outlining the priorities of the GOP) that supports efforts to outlaw online poker and other forms of online gaming. This is especially troubling given that hundreds of PPA members and poker enthusiasts contacted the Platform Committee and stated their preference that the GOP not include anti-online gaming language in this year’s platform like they did in 2000 and 2004. Sadly, the GOP ignored these calls and decided to abdicate core conservative principles in favor of a “nanny-state” approach to governance.

Please let McCain know you are not pleased with his party’s decision by sending him a letter TODAY telling him to repudiate this plank of the GOP platform.

I strongly encourage all APC members to become active in the PPA. IT is sad that it was a Republican that, through trickery, got this legislation attached to a "must pass" bill that had nothing to do with online poker.

The good news is that this legislation is unenforceable and practically all major online sites now realize that. Other than having to take a few extra steps to make a deposit, there has been no real effect on anyone's ability to play this evil game online.

I'd also encourgage you Obama supporters to do the same. Regardless of whom is elected in November, this idiotic legislation MUST be deleted from the Code.

Well I hope people remembers that the Republications lied to the voters on the War on Terror, and they got this county into a serious depression, and making their rich buddies and click click on wall street more richer, and also using fear to get their agenda passed on the War of terror, so they can pass unconstitutional laws because they people is in fear of a terrorist behind or under every Bush LOLOL and starting their New World Agenda to help to get it more true every year.
