I was in same situation once with Godfather. I had the boat and he DID have the quads. I didn't mind paying him off though and was just thankful he left me in the game.
 What I remember most is sitting there thinking "What are the odds that he has the ONE CARD in the deck that can beat me?" So I made the call thinking God Bless him if he has it.

3 days, 9 online SnGs, 1 live APC event - 2 wins, 3 seconds and 2 thirds - 2 of 3 seconds flopped boats only to lose to one outer river quads and tonight, raise with AsQs (I know, I know!), BB calls with 95o, flop comes 9Q9, well, guess what hits?
God, why? What are the odds of this happening? But, I guess it is nothin to Adam Slutsky's article in this issue of Bluff, $8 million real dollar pot, straight flush loses to higher straight flush - $4 million loss to a player holding a straight flush? WOW, I'd have to kill everyone and then myself. I really looked forward to coming out tonight, seeing my buddies, playing some cards and damn, what has happened to the APC? Damn!
