Ok, so this may qualify as a bad beat, but given the stacks and the close proximity to pay out, I was able to enjoy it anyway.

...and then there's this little gem.

2nd quads today. One tourney gave me one as well as another player.
In his defense, I had been raising every time he limped from the SB or the button, so he played it perfectly. Except for the fact that it pays the top 3 evenly and the guy on my left had 1/2 as many chips so I think here he needs to fold or shove on the first move. I can fold J-J to an all-in from him here.
But then again...why would I? I'm Evil-FUCKIN'-Weenie!!!

On this first hand, the player on my left had been raising and/or shoving and was taking the play away from the table so I was happy to see a hand. I even suspected that he'd shove regardless of my raise. He did. FullTilt did what it does.

...then two hands later this hand came up.

I actually called the jack on the river. No big surprises. I got very lucky several times yesterday. I guess I was due for a karma leveling.

In hand one I felt there was enough in the pot to justify a call. I then opted to check raise with what I believed to be the best hand. Called the turn as soon as I saw his cards.

Hand two had the other guy doing most of the work for me. Of course I called the spade on the turn as soon as I saw the flop here as well.

In this first hand I showed how to open your luckbox and crack aces. Silly monkees.

However, if you want to win with aces, I suggest the following technique: Flop set, river quads. it almost always works.

Ok, so maybe I played this hand correctly and maybe I didn't. That's not the point. I know the bad ones stick out the most, but I am currently at about 22% when I'm either in a coin flip or in one of these situations. AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!

...and as if to illustrate my point, the following two hands came up almost back-2-back to end the tourney. 3 outer both times.

Could I realistically ask for a better two spots to get my chips in? Bah humbug.
