Dumb question. If I am running maybe 30 minutes late, can I still get in (like in a regular tournament)? I have an event down downtown that starts at 11:30 and should be done by 1pm.
Thanks Duba

Another Grand Championship is in the books. Today marked a record for The Atlanta Poker Club. 283 players qualified for the Summer Season 2010 Grand Championship and 167 players attended. Thank you to all the Dealers who volunteered. Thank you, thank you. Erin, was kind enough to recognize the dealers by giving each of them a coupon worth 1k in chips towards their next regular APC game as well as a coupon for an APC shirt. I would especially like to thank Kevin Ilias and Kendall Dean for dealing all the way. I would also like to thank Stephanie Cutler for being our runner and helping with check-in, seating assignments as well as alternates and pictures. Thank you to Jim Burns for snapping pictures. And finally, Thank you to Red for being a big toe.

Tony Cooperwood 6. Devin Lawson 5. Blake Patterson Four Handed took quite a while. 4. Ben Taylor 3. Larry Walsingham Heads up was between the defending Champion from the Yearly Championship 4 months ago. He was the chip leader through most of the final table and made almost no mistakes. His aggressive play almost got him a repeat. He is definitely a Champion. Great job!!! 2. Brian "Bruiser" Baughcum The Grand Champion. 1. Ann Cleveland When Wendy went out at the last two tables, Ann was the only female APCr remaining in the field of 167. She is Queen of the Court. She came to the final table short stacked and survived some key hands as she passed through the critical blinds. She rebuilt her stack and bidding her time as others pushed and busted out. She doubled through Brian while the play was 4 handed. During 3 handed play her patience ran out on Brian's aggression. He shoved all in from the small blind and she made the call. Her K9 held up against Brian's Q2. After Larry went out, HU Play lasted maybe two hands. Ann's AJ beat out Brian's trademard J8 and she won the day. Congratulations to Ann Cleveland on winning the tournament, entering The Atlanta Poker Club Hall of Fame as Summer Season 2010"s Grand Champion!!! ![]()

Ann, Ann, Ann...you show up at these venues half quiet and humble, volunteering to politely deal from time to time. You lay in the weeds observing player behaviors, filing the good moves and playing styles, secretly strengthening your own game, creating your own style.
Then you got the nerve to show up at Famous Pub and murder a room full of aficionados and wanna-be pros!!! That's what I'm talking bout BABY!!! That's what I'm talking bout! Way to go, congratulations!!! Saw a picture where you were so short stacked and still came all the way back. Happy for you! Respect your game, you bring integrity to the league, taking the tournaments "serious"...I know you're not playing some bullshit cuz you're half-drunk or you're not calling 4X pre-flop raises with J4d hoping to get lucky (right?) lol
