Why
do online poker rooms use .net to advertise?
Gooch Writes: Why do
I see TV advertisements advertising
the ".net" version of there
poker rooms... everyone knows about
.com, plus I read that the poker rooms
can't advertise via google and yahoo.

What
poker books can you guys recommend?
Tom from New York Writes: I’m
an avid fan of the World Poker Tour
and the World Series of Poker and I
am just starting to try and learn the
game. I was hoping you could recommend
a couple of books to help me improve
my game. I play mostly lower limit holdem
with a mix of live and online play.

What
did Sexton mean when he said "mixing
up his play"?
Tim from Phoenix writes:
I was watching the WPT last week and
I had a question about one of Mike Sexton’s
comments. Fairly early on in the tournament,
I think there were still 4 people left
Carlos raises the pot with an “Ace
Baby” hand, I believe it was A/3
but I’m not sure. Mike comments
“Carlos mixing up his play beautifully
with the Ace.” What is he talking
about there? |

What
advice do you have for playing at a
live poker tournament vs. playing an
online poker tournament?
Russ from Seattle writes:
“I’ve been playing poker
online for just about 6 months and I’ve
done fairly well. I’ve been playing
at Pacific
Poker mostly, and have managed to
slowly grow my bankroll from an initial
$100 buy in to just over $604 in that
six month span. The competition there
seems weaker than what I found at some
of the other sites. Anyway, on to my
point…I’m itching to try
to play some “live” poker.
Other than some home games with some
friends, I’ve never played poker
in a casino setting. Can you recommend
any tips or things to watch out for
when going to play live? By the way,
the site looks schweet. Yeah c’mon! |
