I was a little reluctant to post this series of videos on the site here because I bust out in a three hand series during the second video. It takes me from doing just fine and with a good read on the table, just the position I want to be, to out and on the rail out of the money in three hands.
As I watched myself play this sit-n-go over again I think that there are some good lessons in there on how to take advantage of situations that come up while playing sng’s that may not come up playing in cash games. Also, I didn’t only want to post winning sessions online because there is often times MORE to learn during loosing sessions than winning ones. Poker is a game that you simply can’t win every time you play, so why should all of my videos be of winning sessions? I would also like to say that there are some good sit and go strategy training out there if you are interested in learning more about winning sng’s I can recommend SitNGo Planet for a content driven website that is written by a guy who certainly writes a good sitngo game, PokerXFactor and Real Poker Training for a paid online poker school that has a lot of SNG content mixed in with their tournament online poker training.

Sit and Go Online Thoughts
My favorite place to play sit-n-go’s online right now is PokerStars because I just love the interface of their software, the sit-n-go tournament structure and the fact that the sng’s fill up in less than 1 minute virtually 24/7.
If you download pokerstars you can not only play in the one table sit n go’s, but that you can also play in 2, 3, 4 and 5 table events as well as 180 man Sit-n-Go’s. These run around the clock. During WSOP season they offer Step WSOP satellite Sit and go’s where you can win a WSOP seat by playing in a series of SNG’s.
I think that my sit-n-go game is above average at best… there were a handful of mistakes that I pointed out that I made in this SNG, but over the long term I’m positive I could make a lot of money playing sng poker tournaments online. I know that SNG’s are not my main game but I am studying them as they really can be lucrative and the risk is limited to my tournament buy in.
Here is the SNG Strategy Course I read just before playing – I’m not sold on it 100% but you can check it out and make up your own mind. If you play lots of SNG’s I can this as being easily worth it.
I also recommend Holdem Ranger Real Time HUD (free)if you want an on screen stats display. I can’t get the stat display to show up on the video but you can see it while playing online poker and keeping good stats on your opponents is a smart poker move.
