The online PokerStars NHL freeroll tournament takes place every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (at 8 pm ET), and is comprised of the following:
- The top 90 players from each of these qualifiers seeds into a biweekly weekend Semi Finals, held on February 28, March 14, and March 28 (at 9 pm ET), respectively.
- Also seeding into the Semi Finals are $1.10 buy-in qualifiers held on Tuesdays and Thursdays (at 7 pm ET) til that date, with a single winner form each advancing to the Semi Finals. From here, the top 50 players will seed into a Sunday, April 4th Grand Final (at 9 pm ET).
The winner of this PokerStars NHL Grand Final on April 4th will win four tickets to the NHL Awards Ceremony, and a Dallas Stars prize package that includes a trip to Las Vegas, Nevada – including hotel accommodations and spending money for the winner and three of his/her friends!

NEW Party Poker Online Cash Game Championship (OCGC) Starts March 1, 2010
Yet another major online Party Poker tournament series, the Online Cash Game Championship (OCGC), will begin March 1, 2010 – featuring 400 poker hands per day and a whooping $250,000 grand prize. 
With big money prizes for players to enjoy, the Online Cash Game Championship (or OCGC) is ready to take off.
Instead of courting Party Poker tournament players, OCGC is courting to cash ring game players this time around:
- Players will be evaluated based on their overall performance in the 400 hands they play – with a leader board keeping track of every participant’s progress, determining who advances to the next level and who places highest in the OCGC rankings.
- The event is every bit as much an elimination style event as any online poker tournament, with the days of the month divided up into the 7 levels, meaning that if you miss level 1 from March 1 – 5, you will not be eligible to participate in level 2 and beyond.
Starting March 1st, the OCGC tournament will allow participants to compete in at least 400 online poker hands per day, starting at the low table stakes of $0.50 / $1.00, and climbing through 7 different levels up to stakes of $5 / $10 – to the Final Table, which is unlike any final table you’ve ever seen in online poker before.
The Party Poker Online Cash Game Championship is a tournament that’s not a tournament – a leader board promotion that’s not a leader board promotion.
At the final table on April 2 (level 7; $5/$10) players will compete for the top cash prize of $250,000. Party Poker will also be awarding smaller cash prizes to every player that advances from one level to the next (with the exception of advancing from level 1 to level 2).

Party Poker Hit Or Run Tournament Awarding Up To $10,000 Per Day
You could win up to $10,000 daily in the Party Poker Hit Or Run Tournament! Every day in February 2010, PartyPoints are as good as real money – especially if you rack up enough of these points.
Throughout the Hit or Run tournament, players are awarded Party Poker points, known as PartyPoints, that can add up to real cash prizes.
- It costs 20 PartyPoints to play, all of which must be earned in the same day. Rack up 20 PartyPoints at any PartyPoker’s cash ring game real money tables, and receive a $1 ticket to play in the Hit Or Run game.
- The Hit Or Run game is a one hand heads up all in tournament. If you lose, you go back to playing at PartyPoker’s cash game tables and try and rack up 20 more PartyPoints to play Hit Or Run again. However, if you win, your $1 ticket turns into $2.
- You can then decide to Run with the $2, or Hit and play another hand of Hit Or Run for double or nothing on your $2. If you win, then that $2 turns into $4, and so on.
- A complete PartyPoker Hit Or Run game lasts for 10 hands. If you survive this long, your $1 has doubled into over $1,000 dollars.
Each player is allowed to play Hit Or Run 10 times each day through February 28th, 2010, and it costs 200 PartyPoints (20 PartyPoints per game x 10 games) to play throughout the tournament.
In other words, if a player wins all 10 hands in all 10 Hit Or Run games in one day, the total prize earnings would amount to over $10,000. Well, $1,024 to be exact.
