Biggest Bodog Poker Tournament Oct 5th
Dubbed the Bodog Poker Open, this $300,000 guaranteed prize pool tournament is one that is on the radar as one to qualify for. This tournament has a fairly steep buyin but there opportunities to satellite in to the event are really pretty strong.
This online poker tournament series is sure to bring many of the online pro’s and average joe’s over to Bodog Poker in the coming months. Playing on their badboy Image, Bodog wishes that we mention that this series is even bigger and badder than the first Bodog Poker open back in March 08.
Crack ze whip sire and we shall respond!
Check Out The Bodog Poker Open II

This bigger and badder bodog poker tournament series is back for another installment after a successful round one back in March 2008. The Bodog Poker Open II Main Event buy-in amount is $500 bucks with $470 going into the prize pool and $30 as tourney fee’s.
The Bodog Poker Open Structure is solid with 10,000 starting chips and 20 minute rounds. It gives plenty of playing time and is nice and deep stacked poker. 20 minute rounds online are solid considering it takes 1 second for the dealer to ’shuffle’ at the end of each hand.
Tons of satellites to the Bodog Poker Open
If anyone from the Wednesday Night Bodog League (the Kick Ass Poker League) qualifies for this event let us know in the forums!

Poker Stars Black
With the recent update of their software, somewhere in Early August, Poker Stars.com made a major theme change to their lobby interface. Normally the gold colors they were so well known for were gone, and a Poker Stars black poker lobby was born.
Compare these screenshots of the new Poker Stars black lobby design compared to the old / traditional poker stars lobby design and vote for which one you like better.

Here is a screenshot of the new PokerStars.com black lobby.

PokerStars Traditional Lobby

As you can see, these new designs retain much of the classic Poker Stars feel and style but have a completely different look to them. I’ve been using the PokerStars black since it came out and it is pretty cool. It gets a thumbs up vote from me, but I’m interested to see what some of the rest of you think. I don’t believe any of the other functionality has been diminished or anything taken away, or added that we didn’t have before but I haven’t gone through it with a fine tooth comb either.
If you are yet to download Poker Stars, give it a try. I’m confident that you will find PokerStars.com to be one of the best places to play online poker, and the reason that they are the number one ranked online poker room here at Kick Ass Poker. New players get a 100% bonus when signing up at PokerStars.com that is really easy to release.
